EyeOnSakai Overview
The EyeOnSakai widget allows Sakai students to monitor activity occurring in their class from their computer's desktop. A single widget notifies you about new Announcements, Assignments, Resources, Discussion Messages, and Chat Messages for a single class in Sakai.
EyeOnSakai Requirements
EyeOnSakai requires the following software to receive notifications from Sakai:

Windows XP (or later) or Mac OS X 10.2 (or later)
The Yahoo! Widget Engine
The CANS Server
A Perl script that provides the communication link between CANS and your Widget.
EyeOnSakai Versions
Currently, there are 3 different versions of the EyeOnSakai CANS Desktop Awareness Widget. Each version is functional, but only the latest version (EyeOnSakai4) works as is with the current version of CANS. Making one of the earlier versions work will require slight modifications to the source code. Contact Chris if you would like help modifying one of these older versions.
