2005 - ECSCW'05 Conference - Paris, France: software demo

A Notification System to Enhance User Awareness and Cooperation in CSCWE

In September 2005, Paul Turner and I demo'd CANS at the European Computer Supported Cooperative Work conference (ECSCW'05) in Paris, France.

CSCW is a multidisciplinary area of research devoted to the use of computers to support cooperative work. The community encompasses interests in systems development and design, the theory and practice of CSCW, the installation and use of CSCW systems, the application of novel technologies, and the relation between the social and the technical.

The ECSCW'05 conference was major European forum and meeting place for researchers and practitioners in academia, industry, consulting, or government interested in topics related to the theory, practice, design, or support for collaborative work.

During our software demonstration we showed how CANS works and presented the CANS Desktop Awareness Widget. EyeOnSakai2.widget, the version we demonstrated, is available in Downloads and Resources. Our handout for this conference is attached to this message.
